Cock E.S.P. - Greatest Dicks III

TIME FOR NOISE. Cock E.S.P. was actually my first experience with harsh noise a few years ago. At the time it was totally different from anything I'd heard before and I really didn't know what to make of it. It didn't really do anything for me aside from giving me a headache at the time, but since then I've developed more of an appreciation for noise and I now realize that Cock E.S.P. stands out as one of the most unique artists in harsh noise. There's about thirteen minutes of noise here, then the last track is an interview that takes up an additional six and a half minutes. It's all pretty entertaining, and definitely worth a listen.

Analthrone - Apocalyptic Black Vomit

Check this out! In my experience, downloads for Analthrone are virtually impossible to find, and physical releases are likewise very difficult to come by. I found the tracks from the Analthrone / Black Putrefaction split on Myzuka, but that's about it. On Discogs, the aforementioned split and the tape version of this release have gone for over 25 dollars in the past, and most of the other releases have never been sold at all. So yeah, I felt really lucky that I was able to get this for a decent price, and I'm not about to keep the music to myself.
What we have here is a single track that clocks in at exactly an hour. You get some storm sounds and creepy chanting, then the music starts. It's important to note that the music here is pretty much pure raw black metal, rather than the black noise/grind that Analthrone seems to be more known for (though it seems funny to suggest that Analthrone is known at all).  Can you even imagine if it was an hour of black noise? Sections tend to start feeling pretty drawn out as it is, but it helps that things are broken up by more chanting and stuff occasionally. Anyway, I'm no good at writing reviews and I should probably quit trying. Listen to this if you're into hella underground black metal.
